Bedtime Rituals

Merci leads the girls in family prayer while Ria holds the sacred microwave dinner tray.

Then it is time for goodnight kisses.

Once the dogs are asleep, Prince Zebe finds a spot.

And the handsome Prince Zorro says, "Good Night!"

Trading Spaces ~ Lazy Day

It's a rainy day, it's a rainy day.
It's raining outside and I can't go out and play . . .
Here's the girls just hanging out in the half finished "Dog Room"
Okay, make room for one more.

Happy napping everybody!

Moonbeam's Baby Album

I thought I would take a moment to share some of our favorite baby pictures of Moonbeam. She is on the right and Star is on the left in all of the pics.

Bel

She's here!!!

Our beautiful Moonbeam is home safe and sound! She made the long trip without complaint, and found her new housemates to be quite intriguing!

First, she met her great aunt Merci and cousin Ria who were so excited to see her they could hardly contain themselves! At not quite 6 months old Ria is 30" and around 100 lbs, whereas Moonbeam at 3 months and a week is 22" and 51 lbs. The difference between the two standing side by side is comical since they are only 2 1/2 months apart, but we looked at our records and it turns out that Moonbeam is actually half an inch taller and 3 pounds heavier than Ria was at that age!
Next, Moonbeam met two little people who startled her initially, but she soon discovered that children are delightful beings with lots of energy!

Moonbeam rounded out her meet-and-greet session by standing her ground bravely when faced with a strange furry creature who purred and acted rather uppity. Eventually the kitty allowed Moonbeam to groom him a bit and I believe the two are now friends :-)

After a long day, everyone began to collapse, one by one.

To help out with the transition, we expanded Ria's crate so that it was large enough for Moonbeam to sleep with her. Heads facing opposite directions, Moonbeam snuggled her back close to Ria's belly, and Ria in turn curled carefully around the sweet new baby :-) Ah, the beginning of what I am sure will be a life long friendship. They both slept quietly all night long.
